§ 02 / Writing / Three archetypes

Thesis. Ship notes. Field notes.

Blog index renders from content/blog/published/. The first post lands when the /thesis, /ship-log, or /field-note command produces a draft and you run /publish. Thesis posts target the depth of the TrialEdge architecture write-up. Ship notes are dated and versioned. Field notes cover CRE financial models through an AI architect lens.

Russell Harris portrait
RUSSELL HARRIS Washington, DC FINRA Series 3

Russell Harris. AI Solutions Architect. CRE credit analyst at PBS in Washington DC. Founder of Mosaic Capital Solutions.

My career runs through tech and finance. I studied Economics at the University of Delaware, with a Business Analytics concentration. As a venture analyst at a diversity-focused emerging-manager fund, I co-led the $3M inaugural vehicle and sourced a company that exited at more than $15M. In business intelligence at a global private-markets firm, I rebuilt the SQL that supports LP reporting across more than 70 fund-of-funds. As an investment associate at a top-tier global accelerator, I sourced 60 percent of the portfolio and co-led an AI HealthTech program with a major academic medical center. I evaluated more than 2,000 startup applications and wrote more than 30 funded investment memos. Now I work the credit side of a national commercial real estate lending desk, and I underwrite live transactions.

My pivot to AI architecture started at Techstars in 2023. I built GPT-automated diligence briefs that cut founder screening time by 35 percent. That same framework carried into the Mosaic feasibility prompt suite, Atlas, TrialEdge, and the other systems in the writing above. The production systems run on Cloudflare Workers, R2, and KV. The same patterns map directly to AWS Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.

Named DMV Venture Capital Rising Star (2024). Spoke before the Maryland State Senate on AI and capital formation policy. $250M plus underwritten in CRE acquisitions across multifamily, life sciences, student housing, industrial, hospitality, and land through Mosaic and prior work.

I like to connect two fields that rarely talk to each other: football analytics and corn futures, credit underwriting and ML calibration, multi-provider orchestration and LIHTC scoring. Reach out at the contact block below.
