Russell Harris portrait
RUSSELL HARRIS Washington, DC FINRA Series 3

Russell Harris. Forward Deployed AI Architect candidate. CRE credit analyst at PBS in Washington DC. Founder of Mosaic Capital Solutions.

The career arc traces the intersection of tech and finance. University of Delaware, B.S. Economics with a Business Analytics concentration. Venture analyst at Latimer Ventures, co-leading a $3M inaugural fund backing Black-founded startups and sourcing a portfolio company that exited at $15M plus. Business intelligence at StepStone Group, rebuilding the SQL architecture supporting LP reporting across 70 plus private-markets fund-of-funds. Investment associate at Techstars, sourcing 60 percent of the accelerator portfolio, co-leading an AI HealthTech program with Johns Hopkins, evaluating 2,000 plus startup applications, and authoring 30 plus funded investment memos. Now on the credit side at PBS, evaluating live CRE transactions on a national lending desk.

The pivot to AI architecture started at Techstars in 2023, building GPT-automated diligence briefs that cut founder screening time by 35 percent. The framework that worked there carried into the Mosaic feasibility prompt suite, Atlas, TrialEdge, and the four other production systems documented in the writing above.

Named DMV Venture Capital Rising Star (2024). Spoke before the Maryland State Senate on AI and capital formation policy. $250M plus underwritten in CRE acquisitions across multifamily, life sciences, student housing, industrial, hospitality, and land through Mosaic and prior work.

Currently evaluating Forward Deployed AI Architect roles. Open to NYC relocation, available remote, available for 50 percent travel. Nerds out across the intersection of any two domains that do not usually talk to each other: football analytics to corn futures, credit underwriting to ML calibration, multi-provider orchestration to LIHTC scoring.
